2012-13 Omaha Women’s Basketball – Game 16 Postgame Notes, Facts, and Stats – Western Illinois

Here’s some facts for you!

Scoring

  • Carly Cator has scored in five straight games, the longest streak since she scored in eight straight from 1/5/11-2/9/11.
  • Jamie Nash has been held under double figures in three straight games for the first time since three games from 11/27/11-12/3/11.
  • The 15 points Jamie Nash has in the last three games is her lowest three game total since she scored 11 points from 1/2/10-1/9/10, her freshman season.
  • Jamie Nash has scored in all 96 games of her career.
  • Carolyn Blair-Mobley has scored in all 16 of her career games for Omaha.
  • Paige Frauendorfer has scored in 27 straight games.
  • Carolyn Blair-Mobley scored 20 points on Saturday, her team high 4th time scoring 19 or more points. Blair-Mobley has as many performances with 19 or more as the rest of her teammates do combined.
  • For the 2nd straight game Omaha had only one player in double figures.

Rebounding

  • Carly Cator was held without a rebound for the first time this year.
  • Jamie Nash has grabbed a rebound in all 96 games of her career.
  • Carolyn Blair-Mobley has grabbed a rebound in all 16 of her career games for Omaha. Carolyn has at least three rebounds in seven straight games.
  • Paige Frauendorfer has grabbed a rebound in 83 straight games.

Assists

  • Jamie Nash has picked up an assist in 72 straight games. She has had three or more assists in 19 straight games.
  • Jamie Nash had just three assists on Saturday, her lowest total of the season and lowest total since she had 2 at South Dakota last year.

Steals

  • Jamie Nash has had at least one steal in 78 straight games. Jamie has multiple steals in seven straight games.
  • Jamie Nash’s 57 steals are more than her next three teammates combined (Frauendorfer 24, Blair-Mobley 18, and House 12).

Blocks

  • Taijhe Kelly has two or more blocks in eight games this year. The rest of the team has two or more blocks just twice combined.
  • Saturday was the 30th time Taijhe Kelly has led Omaha in blocks. the Mavericks are 17-13 in those games.
  • Paige Frauendorfer recorded her 56th career block on Saturday. She is now tied for 10th in school history with Amanda Brodsack (2007-09).
  • Taijhe Kelly is now averaging 1.75 blocks per game this season. That is the 6th best average in school history, tied with Carol Wink who had 42 blocks in 24 games in 1987-88

Shooting

  • Carolyn Blair-Mobley’s three 3FG were tied for the 3rd most this year. Blair-Mobley has hit three 3FG five times this year, but never more.
  • Carolyn Blair-Mobley’s 7 FTs were the 2nd most this year behind her 9 in the College of St. Mary game. Blair-Mobley is the only Maverick to hit more than 5 FTs in a game, she’s done it three times.
  • Carolyn Blair-Mobley’s 7-8 FT shooting was the highest by a Maverick this year who didn’t hit all their shots.
  • Omaha shot only 36% from 3FG, yet that was their 7th highest 3FG% of the year and their best since the Kansas City game on 12/28.
  • Omaha went 7-8 from the FT line, the 88% being their 2nd best FT% of the season.

Miscellaneous

  • Omaha has trailed by at least 12 in all 5 games they lost. They have not trailed by more than 11 in any of their wins.
  • The team with the largest lead at any point of the game is 15-1 in Omaha’s games this season.
  • Jamie Nash has now made 90 career starts. Omaha is 44-46 in those games.
  • Western Illinois’ 29 point lead late in the game was the largest deficit Omaha has faced this year. The previous high was 15 against Saint Louis.
  • For the first time since the Saint Louis game Omaha didn’t lead the game at all.
  • Jamie Nash moved into 4th in school history in minutes on Saturday. She passed Lindsey Petersen (2000-05) and now has 3150 minutes.

Maverick Summit League/National Ranks

  • Omaha leads the Summit in FG shooting (41.4%) and is 2nd in 3FG shooting (34.1%).
  • Omaha is 47th in the nation in 3FG% (34.1%), 75th in FG% (41.4%), and 123rd in assists (13.6).
  • Paige Frauendorfer is 2nd in the Summit in rebounding (8.6), is 8th in FG% (43.1%), and is 9th in scoring (13.1).
  • Casse Vaughn leads the Summit in FG% at 57.1%. Ericka House is 2nd in 3FG with 35. Taijhe Kelly is 2nd in blocks with 1.8 per game.
  • Carolyn Blair-Mobley is 5th in rebounding (6.9), is 6th in 3FG% (41.4%), is 6th in 3FG (29), is 9th in FG% (42.8%), and 10th in scoring (12.4).
  • Jamie Nash leads the Summit in assists with 7.2 per game and steals with 3.6 per game.
  • Paige Frauendorfer is 100th nationally in rebounding with 8.6 per game.
  • Taijhe Kelly is 53rd nationally in blocks with 1.8 per game.
  • Jamie Nash is 6th nationally in assists with 7.2 per game and 11th nationally with 3.6 steals per game.
