Filed under: Omaha Mavericks,Retrospects,Women's Basketball — Jon Green @ 10:00 am

I’ve previous covered the career of Carly Cator.

Today I’ll cover Carolyn Blair-Mobley’s career with the Mavericks. Carolyn transferred to Omaha for this year. She started her career at Cloud County Community College in Kansas before playing two years at Oklahoma State starting 22 games. After sitting out the 2011-12 season she joined the Mavericks. Carolyn has started all 26 games for the Mavericks this season. At this point she has 303 career points, 177 career rebounds, 58 career assists, 36 career steals and 6 career blocks.

Points:
1st Point – 11/12/12 vs. North Carolina A&T – Carolyn scored her first point on a layup with 14:42 left in the first half to get Omaha within one point at 5-4. Blair-Mobley would go on to score seven points in the 58-44 win.
25th Point – 11/18/12 vs. Northern Arizona – Blair-Mobley reached the 25 point mark in her 3rd game. Carolyn hit two early baskets and then blew by point 25 on a three pointer that made it 27-18 Omaha with 3:46 left in the first half. She would score 16 in the game.
50th Point – 11/30/12 vs. Texas-Arlington – In Carolyn’s 6th game she passed the 50 point mark. An early layup brought her within a point and she got point #50 as she hit a FT with 16:06 to go to put the Mavericks up two, 7-5. Blair-Mobley had stolen the ball and was fouled, going to the line to hit both shots.
100th Point – 12/21/12 vs. College of St. Mary – After scoring 14 points in the first half Blair-Mobley got her 100th career point on a layup just 41 seconds into the 2nd half off of a Carly Cator assist. The basket game Omaha a 44-37 lead and was part of Blair-Mobley’s 28 point afternoon.
200th Point – 1/17/13 @ Chicago State – Carolyn came into the game just needing two points to reach 200 for her career and got them early on when she hit a layup off a Jamie Nash assist just 2:31 into the game.
300th Point – 2/23/13 @ North Dakota State – Blair-Mobley scored her 300th career point when she made a FT to get Omaha back within three at 61-58 with 21 seconds to go. She’d hit another one to get it back to two and would score a layup later to get Omaha within two again but Omaha lost 63-62 despite Carolyn’s 20 points.
