2012-13 Omaha Women’s Basketball – Game #25 – Postgame Notes, Facts, and Stats – South Dakota State

Here are some facts for you!

Scoring

  • Jamie Nash has scored in all 105 games of her career.
  • Carolyn Blair-Mobley has scored in all 25 of her career games for Omaha.
  • Paige Frauendorfer has scored in 36 straight games.
  • Paige Frauendorfer had 20 points, tied for the 8th most by a Maverick this season. Paige has four of the nine 20+ point performances this year.
  • Paige Frauendorfer’s 24 points were the 4th most by a Maverick this season and most since she had 24 vs. North Dakota State on January 24th.
  • It was the most by a Maverick away from the Sapp Fieldhouse since Frauendorfer had her career-high 26 at New Orleans last year on 2/18/12.
  • It was the 10th time this year a Maverick has scored 20 or more points, half of those were by Paige Frauendorfer.

  • Paige Frauendorfer’s 10 FGs were tied for a 2nd most by a Maverick this year and the most since she hit 10 against North Dakota State on January 24th. Paige has eight of the 11 performances this year where a Maverick has hit eight or more FGs.
  • Ericka House’s four 3FGs were tied for the 4th most by a Maverick this season and most since she hit four at Oakland on February 2nd. Of Omaha’s top five individual three point shooting games this season, four have come from House and four have come on the road.
  • Ericka House’s 4-7 performance from three was the 9th best shooting by a Maverick who hit at least 2 3FGs this season and best since Carolyn Blair-Mobley went 5-7 at Fort Wayne on January 31st.
  • Paige Frauendorfer’s 4-4 FT shooting was the 11th time this year an Omaha player has been perfect from the line while hitting at least four FTs.
  • Omaha’s 10-12 FT performance was their 7th best FT percentage of the season.

Miscellaneous

  • Omaha only turned it over on 17.5% of their possessions, the 3rd best rate of the season and best since turning it over on just 17.1% in the game at Indiana Dabney on January 19th.
  • This was the 25th start of the year for Jamie Nash, Paige Frauendorfer, Carolyn Blair-Mobley, and Carly Cator. The four have started every game and Omaha is 16-9 this year.
  • South Dakota State is the only team to lead Omaha by more than 14 since the loss at Western Illinois on January 12th. South Dakota State has done it in both games against Omaha.

Records Watch

  • Ericka House crossed the 50 career 3FG mark and thus is eligible for the career 3FG% charts. She enters the chart in 8th place at 35.8%, just behind Jennifer Mitchell who shot 36% from 1998-2002.
  • Paige Frauendorfer now has 670 career rebounds, just one behind Sarah Larson for 7th place and should pass her early in the game on Saturday. Larson had 671 rebounds from 1996-2000.
  • Jamie Nash became the first Maverick to ever grab 350 steals in a career on Thursday.
  • Taijhe Kelly became the 4th Maverick to block 100 shots in a career, she now has 103. Tanya Hammes is 3rd on the list with 124 from 1999-2003.
  • Ericka House’s four 3FGs moved her from a tie for 9th most in a season with Lindsey Peterson, who had 49 in 2004-05, into 7th place. She passed Jennifer Mitchell who had 51 in 2000-01. 6th place belongs to Karen Thies who hit 54 in 2004-05.
  • Jamie Nash broke her own school record of 166 assists in a season. She now has 168 assists this season.
  • Taijhe Kelly was already 5th in school history for blocks in a season but on Thursday she became the 2nd woman in school history to block 60 shots in a season. She’s chasing M. Henke Anderson for 4th most in a season, Anderson had 63 in 1982-83.
  • Taijhe Kelly is now averaging 2.40 blocks per game. She moved past M. Henke Anderson’s 1981-82 season (2.39) into 3rd place in school history. 2nd place is Anderson’s 1982-83 season when she blocked 2.42 shots per game.
  • Omaha’s team block average jumped from 3.5 per game to 3.56 per game. That moved Omaha from the 8th best season average to the 5th best season average. Omaha passed the 3.54 average in 1984-85 and the 3.52 average in 1986-87.
