April 4th Preview

Atlantic Region

(#14) Kutztown @ (#18) West Chester – PSAC GOTW

The two ranked teams in the PSAC, and the top two in the East.  West Chester would go up 3 games on Kutztown with a sweep.

Clarion @ Indiana (Pa.)

These two are hanging around in the West, but the loser can probably be written off.

Slippery Rock @ Lock Haven

Middle of the pack matchup in the West.  A sweep here could propel either team towards the top.

(NON CONF) Concord @ Shepherd

Two of the better teams from the WVIAC matching up, but it won’t count for the standings.

Bluefield State @ West Virginia State – WVIAC GOTW

Two of the top teams in the Southern Division, West Virigina State the favorite here as Bluefield State a surprise 4-2 start after a 5-11 non-conference season.

Central Region

(#4) Mesa State @ Nebraska-Kearney –  RMAC GOTW

Mesa State, the runaway leader in the Mountain Division, has to travel to the #2 team in the Plains Division.  UNK in big trouble if they get swept this weekend already down 4 games in the Plains.

East Region

Felician @ Post

Post up 2 games on Felician already with a chance to extend today.

Dominican (N.Y.) @ Wilmington (Del.) – CACC GOTW

Great matchup of two teams in the middle of the CACC standings.  Wilmington might have a slight edge… might.

Chestnut Hill @ Nyack

Very similar matchup to the game above.  Nyack the favorite here.

Adelphi @ Concordia (N.Y.) –  ECC GOTW

top team in the ECC heads to the #2 team.  Great chance for Concordia.

Bentley @ Southern New Hampshire

Two teams right in the middle of the NE-10, but with so many teams packed together both are within a game of the lead.

Assumption @ Pace

Pace is 1.5 games out, and Assumption .5 games out.  Another great middle of the pack matchup.

Midwest Region

Bellarmine @ Northern Kentucky –  GLVC GOTW

Bellarmine is up 3 games on Northern Kentucky in the East.  Could finish them off this weekend.

South Region

Arkansas Tech @ (#5) Southern Arkansas – GSC GOTW

Arkansas Tech gets a great chance to pick up big wins this weekend at Southern Arkansas.  Only one game seperates these two in conference.

Miles @ Albany State –  SIAC GOTW

Top teams from the East and West face off.

Lane @ Benedict

Lane is hanging around in the West because they haven’t played many games… Benedict should win this one easily.

South Central Region

(#12) Texas-Permian Basin @ St. Mary’s –  HC GOTW

This is #1 vs. #2 in conference.  St. Mary’s leads by .5 games going in.

(#10) Abilene Christian @ (#17) Angelo State –  LSC GOTW – Game of the Day.

#1 vs. #3 in conference.  Angelo trails Abilence by 3 games already.  This one could put it out of reach.  Game of the Day (Note this is the same matchup earning that title in Softball).

Southeastern Region

(#26) Pfeiffer @ Barton –  CC GOTW

Pfeiffer is facing a tough road series here @ Barton.  They need to show up this weekend of they could fall out of the conference title race.

North Georgia @ Augusta State

North Georgia has been great in conference so far.  They should take care of Augusta State and push them out of the conference title race here.

South Carolina Aiken @ Armstrong Atlantic State

This is a loser is out of the conference title race matchup.

(#23) Francis Marion @ (#8) Georgia College – PBC GOTW

This matchup is at the top of the conference standings.  Georgia College leads by 1.5 games, this one is a great chance to extend that lead.

(#20) Columbus State @ Lander

Lander is done if they can’t uspet Columbus State at home.
